GNRS 2013: We were really honored to get a trophy in the Suede Palace from the Emperors
1934 Ford 3 Window Coupe For Sale
We are very excited to have this coupe in the Suede Palace for the GNRS 2013. The body is original un-chopped and mildly channeled. The original frame is a very nice original 34. The only modifications on it are the motor mounts, and you can still read the serial number on it. The motor is a fully rebuilt Cadillac 331 V-8. The motor came out of an old 40 lincoln hot rod, with valve covers, valley cover, and fuel pump stand still having the old chrome on them. The motor has an Isky cam in it, a Joe Hunt electronic magneto distibutor, and an original Offenhauser 3x2 intake with three 97 strombergs on it. The trans is an early Ford three speed case with a double detent top and original Zephyr gears. The rear end is a banjo from a 36 ford with 3.25:1 ring and pinion. The front axle is an original Dago dropped 32. The wishbone is an original un-split 34. The spindles are 1936. The car runs on two front 16” dia, 4” wide 1940 ford steelies and two 16” dia, 4.5” wide rear ford truck steelies. All four steel wheels were sent out and straightened and trued and all four coker bias ply tires were shaved. The coupe stops with front and rear original Lincoln brakes using front buick finned aluminum drums and original ford rear drums. The seat is white tuck and roll with gold piping like what was popular in the early 60’s. The radiator is original 34, as is the grill. The windshield cranks out, and the roof insert snaps open. The front headlights are old chrome BLC and the rear tailights, I believe are from a willys. The steering wheel is from a 48 Lincoln, the steering box is F1 ford, and most of the gauges are Stewart Warner. This 34 has been featured in the Traditional Rod and Kulture magazine issue #24, and featured in the book East vs West Showdown. This is a traditional built 34 three window using only original hot rod parts handbuilt the way that someone would had done it 60 years ago.
